Clydesailing

Sailing and racing on the Clyde and West coast of Scotland

A Happy New Year to all Clyde sailors

Formerly Chas's Scottish Sailing Page, this is a site aimed specifically at those of us who like to sail and race in ordinary type yachts on the Clyde and West of Scotland. The perspective is that of the enthusiastic club sailor who does not have the resources of the semi professional. We aim to provide information and unashamedly biased comment on local yachting events. If you are interested in yacht racing and cruising in Scotland please take a look around.

As the sailing season is all but over for 2001 the site is, in part , undergoing winter maintenance. Behind the scenes however yacht clubs are busy scheming events for 2002. The news page will carry info on this as we get it and our Clydesailing discussion board is an excellent place to make comments on what you would like to see happening. We are also extremely keen to include any news, reports or pictures which you think might be of interest to the ever increasing number of yachters who use the site. Send them to us.

Another new feature - Rough Guide to Clyde Yacht Clubs - is under development.

Chas, the author of this site, is the owner of Troy,an old 30 foot yacht which along with his family and mates he races and cruises from the Clyde. I'd be interested in any comments on the site and will respond to any questions. If you are new to sailing on the Clyde and have any questions or interest please email me. I'll either try to answer them myself or point you to someone who can. You can use the reply page to email me.
