CCC Bute Regatta on 14/15th Sept was a most enjoyable event for those who turned up, with great close racing on short windward/leeward courses. We have results, and a couple of photos.

If anyone has an account of the Polaris Regatta I'd be pleased to display it here.

Other recent events : Cumbraes Regatta and Scottish 2 handed Race Once more Larg's own John Kent in Farr E Nuff won the overall trophy for the whole Largs Regatta week.

Clydesailing is a site aimed specifically at those of us who like to sail and race in ordinary type yachts on the Clyde and West of Scotland. The perspective is that of the enthusiastic club sailor who does not have the resources of the semi professional. We aim to provide information and unashamedly biased comment on local yachting events. If you are interested in yacht racing and cruising in Scotland please take a look around.

Our Clydesailing discussion board remains an excellent place to share sailing opinions and now that the racing season is fully under way there must be plenty of controversy if not actual slander to throw around. The events calendar lists all the main regattas on the Clyde. Having a personal interest we have added a page on news and events at Kip where Wednesday evening racing seems to be picking up with a fleet nudging the 20 mark. We are also extremely keen to include any news, reports or pictures which you think might be of interest to the ever increasing number of yachters who use the site. Send them to us and they'll definitely be used.

Chas, the author of this site, is the owner of Troy,an old 30 foot yacht which along with his family and mates he races and cruises from the Clyde. I'd be interested in any comments on the site and will respond to any questions. If you are new to sailing on the Clyde and have any questions or interest please email me. I'll either try to answer them myself or point you to someone who can. You can use the reply page to email me.
